Dolores Gonzalez Haro was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 7, 1963. She is an El Monte resident, her family came to El Monte in the early 1900's. . She lives and recently retired after 22 years from the Mountain School District in the City of El Monte. Her job gave her the opportunity to work with many students, parents and Administrators. As an Artist she began with Self-Help Graphics in 1997, at that time she was introduced to many Artists and has had the opportunity to be part of many Exhibits displaying her work. Dolores also finds time to teach others to paint, she works with watercolor on paper and acrylic on canvas. Her students enjoy painting still life, portraits and landscape images. Her favorite image to paint is Our Lady of Guadalupe. She finds peace and solitude in her work. "I feel very blessed to be able to create artwork daily and express myself through my work.
